Our nights out are usually not normal camera club nights out and our first ever fireworks night was no exception. People brought fireworks along and we headed to Park Hall to basically set fire to things and make them explode. Consequently, I didn’t even bring my camera as I was more than happy to act as the club detonator.
Okay so it wasn’t quite up to Alton Towers standards but it was a lot cheaper with not so many people. I had a lot of fireworks to get through as well as sparklers and a packet of magic wands which were handheld too. Apart from the dud last one they were really good and I managed to do the best drawing I’ve ever done…in the air! The dinosaur firework was a fabulous finale so always look out for fireworks with dinosaurs on. Maybe.
Some locals pulled up to rev their cars and play rubbish music really loudly but they were harmless, apart from to our ears. Things went bang, the sky was lit up, people went ooooo a bit and we burnt our way through a few quid’s worth of gunpowder. Some people even took some photographs! Weirdos.
