My portrait for the exhibition was taken on a club night out at Cheddleton Railway.
The models had dressed up for a 1940s themed evening. The photo I have submitted is of Jess, a lovely model to photograph. After looking at the photo I decided to try editing the photo to give it a ‘feel of the olden days’, when photos where retouched by hand painting, reminiscent of some of the photos my mother had taken in younger years. I used frequency separation for the skin, lightened the eyes and added some colour to the lips. Overall I’m quite happy with the way it turned out.
