I got permission from the chief to go on Hanley Fire station. I took a lot of photos with the male and female fire-fighters (As a matter of interest there were no females in the job when I was in and now there is a female Chief).
Alan* said we needed something local and to be able to show it was local, hence the FS logo (Chairperson’s note: we did encourage members to shoot locally, but were willing to accept non-local images too. However, it is really good to see local photography exhibited at the museum!). She is wearing breathing apparatus which is the same weight as worn by the male, just a slight altering of the straps for obvious reasons. Alan* decided on using the female. The appliance with the logo on was on charge so couldn’t move it outside to get the benefit of natural light. the lighting was not good and I had to up the ISO.
