When someone suggested we go to a garden centre for one of our Thursday night trips out I have to admit I wasn’t initially sold on the idea. When we got there and there was a farm shop I thought the suggester was a genius. So thank you Alan!
There were a vast array of flowers, plants, a Shetland pony lookalike and garden ornaments to shoot for a start although some members were getting some interesting looking shots in the shop as well. It was a chance to try out macro techniques on a wide range of interesting subjects….like duck eggs, clotted cream fudge, black pudding pork pies and a fine range of fresh fruit and veg…
The country cabin is on Barlaston Road-postcode ST3 4AL. Off Longton to Trentham road, at traffic lights, turn by the Dougie Mac, Country Cabin Is about 1/2 mile along that road on the left. I recommend it thanks to that evil genius Mr Tunnicliffe. Next stop Mr Kipling!
Oh and apparently there was a cat. Or so my wife tells me.
