A busy Thursday night at Willfield as members were set a challenge to help them learn about lighting. We had four studio set-ups and we were broken down into teams.
Richard introduced everything and set each of us the challenge to take five different pictures of the same person….who couldn’t move….and without moving the camera…. All that could be moved were the lights, and other members of the team would be on hand to move them for the photographer.
And so we took it in turns to shoot and get shot while using soft boxes, barn doors, filters etc. People were so disappointed with the shots of me that the club has now ordered a beauty dish but I can’t see that working either! Richard and Andy were on hand to help everyone out and flashing lights were going off everywhere….usually just where I was looking.
