A rare dry evening was recently spent at Halmerend Farm which is the abode and workplace of two of our members, Duncan and Clare Richardson. They very kindly gave us the run of their farm and even supplied a table of tasty nibbles too. Clare’s daughter did some showjumping for us, a calf leapt about while Duncan leapt about trying not to get injured and a pair of dogs leapt enthusiastically over jumps in pursuit of a red ball.
There were more horses around, cattle, fantastic farm machinery, two ponds, chickens, ducks and the chance to shoot passing traffic on the M6. So there was loads to take pictures of and, for those that didn’t have to get off to work, there was a sunset to shoot too. The hosts were fantastic and not just because of the nibbles, did I mention there were nibbles?
Claire tells me there were kittens too.
All in all a great night out as I’m sure the pictures below will show.
