It’s Golden I tell you
In a change to the programme we are now off to see the 21 meter tall statue Golden and the surrounding environs known as Goldendale. Directions are in your email. It's near Tunstall apparently!

But will we be soaking Nicko again?? We are upstairs this week as we try out various water-based styles of photography that will mean you need your tripods as well as your cameras of course. If you're not sure what all this madness entails, someone will be on hand to show you so, paddling pools […]
I've never been here so can't wait to see what is in store for us tonight as we visit a colliery for the first time. It is quite likely that Nicko will end up getting sent down the mines and we won't see him again and that would be a risk I'd be willing to […]
In Room 1 will be Claire showing some basic things you can do in Photoshop and answering any (sensible) questions you might have. You could always bring in your laptops and follow along if you like-an extension might be useful if you need to plug in. In the other room will be Nicko and Rusto […]
.......and I'm sure I have some pictures somewhere too.....who volunteered me for this? How am I supposed to remember where I was and what's in the pictures? One not to miss obviously....
Our 'Summer' trips usually start with a trip to the Roaches but, after two almost wash-outs, we have moved it until later in the year because it's going to be a lovely Summer's evening tonight. We will be going to a different place than previously and full details will be in your email closer to […]
And there may even be some paint flying around too apparently. That's pretty normal isn't it? I'd bring a camera and probably a tripod if I were you and do some research beforehand to see what media you want to mix and take pictures of. Well it sounds like fun to me!
Graham and friends (family too) will be kindly throwing open the doors for us at Foxfield Railway again for another very special night. We are very lucky to be given this opportunity and see places, engines, carriages etc that the public don't get to see. Monies will be donated to the railway.
Ladies and gentlemen we have a volunteer! And it's Nicko who has offered to do a presentation on why he likes or even loves photography. And we said a hearty YES! Come along and find out why!
But not in that order..... The faster we plan our Winter programme the more show and tell you get..... Where to send your pictures will be revealed in an email closer to the time.
In yet another club first we will be having a variety of motorbikes in the big room upstairs for you to photograph. I don't think I need to say anymore. Crikey.
Phil will be guiding us through things we should know and the night is ideal for the experienced as well as the inexperienced. Even if you know or think you know everything it's always good to have a refresher on why things work....or why they don't in my case.... If you're really lucky he may […]
They said we couldn't do it, they said it couldn't happen, they said a lot of things. But they were wrong because we are delighted to welcome back the incomparable fountain of knowledge, wisdom and humour that is Mr Tony Worobiec. The presentation is on Night and Low Light Photography and is definitely not one […]
Many thanks to Nikki for volunteering to do a presentation tonight. Her talks are always fun and inspiring and you'd be daft to miss this one. Her talk this time is entitled 'Fell so Near....and a little bit more.' Now you're intrigued!
A very popular speaker returns and with a brand new presentation entitled Treescapes. You can look up High Stone Gallery here. A pictorial example is below of what to expect on the night
Aye, tis Rob again so we are guaranteed an entertaining evening full of 'facts' but don't ask what it will be about as he probably won't know until the day before. But will he remember his notes?
We will be upstairs this evening for our world-famous Halloween special. Bring, cameras, props, ideas, get dressed up, don your best fangs and let's get scary!
Thanks To Graham, we head out to do something new as we light up trains! We can shoot inside the sheds and/or do some light painting outside. Bring cameras, torches, tripods, ideas and shutter releases if you have them. Choo choo!
Back for a triumphant return I know you will all be excited to welcome Richard again. This time he will be..........tbc...............
