It is with great pleasure that our special guest tonight is winging her way in all the way from Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Blighty. With help from her annoying husband on the night, Claire will be talking about her trip round Japan last year (with her annoying husband). The work and pictures are all Claire's and she […]
Phil and Claire have kindly consented to share their Photoshop skills and will be doing so in our main room. The plan is for you to bring in your laptops and learn as you go along. In the other room we will do some studio set ups so we can practice taking portraits, of […]
First trip of the year and we are off to the fabulous Peak Wildlife Park. It's open 10-5 so just turn up when you can. No coaches or anything planned but we can sort and share lifts if anyone's interested. Entry is not expensive and this great local park deserves our support.
We are thrilled to have local authorised camera repairers for Canon and Nikon coming in tonight. There will be a talk on looking after your camera followed by a Q&A session where you can ask those all important questions about camera care, even if you have a Canon ;-) This evening will be followed up […]
We will be arranging transport for this trip as we are off on a jaunt to the wonderful Whipsnade Zoo. Plans tbc but we will meet at the club and take it from there!
Our first Thursday night out this year will not be a carbon copy of last year. Yes we went to the Roaches and had a great time but hopefully we won't have awful roadworks in Leek this year and we can sort the parking a bit better. We will meet again on the Winking Man […]
The committee will be meeting at HD Reptiles at 7pm. Please let Glyn know if you would like anything added to the agenda.
Come on, you know you can't resist another night trying to catch water droplets in motion! We should have some new droplet devices for you to use and we will have Jason showing us how he got his recent POTM winner. Don't forget your cameras and tripods. And any liquids, trays (or other catching devices) […]

In a late substitution we owe a big thanks to Natty Nathan for stepping in and offering to do a presentation on DXO Optics Pro which is an alternative to Photoshop and older versions can be used for free! Jiving Jase will be rapping about his photographs, his excellent decision to buy a Nikon D750 […]
Many of you asked to do some canal visiting and where better to do this than having a saunter along the canal in Stone. It's a nice easy walk and you can wander as far as you like in either direction. Just rock up and off you go! Crown Street car park has 89 spaces […]
Macro, macro and more macro as we once more delve into the miniature. After an introductory presentation from our very own mistress of macro, Hayley, it will be your turn to transmogrify what you've learnt into some amazing pictures. Hayley will bring in some subject matter but please feel free to bring in your own.
Longton park, also known as Queens Park, is our destination this evening. There is a lot to photograph here including a plethora of friendly squirrels and various water features and buildings. The plan also tonight is to do some portrait shooting in natural light so please being along things like light meters, reflectors etc. Parking […]
With MCPF judge, Pete, and POTM winner Andy P it's time for a genteel look through your pictures. There will be plenty of helpful advice and maybe the odd mauling if I submit some of my pictures. I will email you all closer to the time to let you know where to submit your photographs. […]
2016 was a great year for both Willfield Camera Club and Stoke-on-Trent. The latter was named as the European City of Sport project and the former were asked to document this with their photography skills. There was sport going on all over the place and our members were running round like the proverbial insect with […]

Tonight will not be for the faint-hearted nor anyone with a nervous disposition. It will be for those of you who like to capture things going BANG. That's the theory anyway. (and now I have all the words in there to lead people searching for Big Bang Theory here lol!) Anyway, the plan is to […]
Our now annual trip to Trentham Gardens is always very popular and, as we go in at night, cheaper than at other times. There's plenty to photograph and we even managed last year to not get anyone locked in....which is always a bonus. Costs and opening times tbc when they put them up on their […]
