SUMMARY:Macro and Water Droplets Night
DESCRIPTION:This week it is time for…. \n……a PHOTOGRAPHY night.! Yes\, in an unusual turn for a photography club we are going to take some photos. I know\, revolutionary eh! In what has been classed as a macro and water droplets night because we will be doing macro and water droplets we need you to bring in the subjects. Hayley is bringing in some snake skins and maybe other items\, Paula is bringing in some flowers\, Jason is bringing in his water droplet machine and Deborah Sutton has some fantastic ideas I’ve seen her share on our facebook page so there will be lots to shoot and do. But please do bring in something yourselves as I know some of you have water droplet concoctions or machines\, Gerald always has some fantastic ideas and it’s great to see all these ideas come together and see you working on them. Oh and don’t forget your cameras! And tripods.

DESCRIPTION:With instruction from Phil he again will be ably assisted by other Photoshop savvy people so do bring your laptops along so you can try out various things on Photoshop or look over someone else’s shoulder and pick up tips. Other programmes are available and I’m sure the techniques demonstrated tonight will be doable in them. Even if you don’t use Photoshop (yet!) it’s always worth going along to see what is possible and for me to yet again try to work out how to use layers….

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome another brand new speaker to the club and. considering the calibre of tonight’s special guest Dave Butcher this will be one of the highlights of 2017. \nGiving his lecture on Peak Light and selling copies of some of his books at reduced prices Dave will share his expertise with us thus: \n“This starts in Bavaria with the fairy tale castle that Walt Disney based his logo on\, then the Italian Dolomites (the areas between Cortina and Corvara)\, followed by a large section of 30 photographs from my second book Peak Light on the Peak District National Park. After the break (if your club has a break!) we start in San Francisco and New York\, finishing with a large selection from Yosemite National Park in California (waterfalls\, huge trees and big views\, including infra-red). Mostly 20 x 16 inch (image size)\, some 24 x 20 inch\, all borderless prints.” \nGuests are welcome for just £3.50 including refreshments.

DESCRIPTION:Yes it’s another night where some brave volunteers will be critiquing your pictures with the aim to give you constructive criticism so\, if there are improvements to be made\, they will guide you. Things will be then thrown open to the floor as this is very much an audience participation night. \nI have volunteered Pete for this and Andy has volunteered so we have some people who know what they’re talking about giving you advice tonight. \nBefore that we are delighted to welcome Nigel Bowers from Chatterley Whitfield Friends. In lieu of our visit there soon Nigel is coming in to do a presentation about the site\, our visit and show us some of the pictures he has taken there. I’m sure this will be fascinating even if you are not coming along to visit the site on December 10th.
