DESCRIPTION:A dry and pleasantly warm evening is in store as we revisit a local beauty spot. \nPlenty to photograph here so a great night is in store. \nThere is a free car Park which is about 200 yards from the lake itself by the steam train station. You turn off up to this at the point where the road to Leek passes under the railway bridge. You then walk alongside the railway track to the lake. \nThere is also parking on this road – which is the one which goes to Leek. You can then walk along the feeder stream by the side of the garage to the lake. \nHotel  Rudyard car park costs £3 pay at the reception. SUMMARY:Froghall Wharf trip
DESCRIPTION:With a wharf\, a watermill and canalside walks this is sure to be a popular night so luckily there is a big car park. \nThere will be an objective tonight which will add some interest but we haven’t decided what it is yet….and then next week we will be showing our work and contrasting how (or if!) the objective was achieved. \nWatch this space! \nFrom Leek take the A523 (Ashbourne Rd) and follow this road to Bottomhouse\, turning right at the Green Man Public House onto the B5053. Follow this road to its end at Froghall\, turning left and left again\, a 100 yards after arriving at The Visitor Centre.

It’s not worth staying at home.
